1997 YOKOMO MX-4 PROTO 97WCS by MASAAKI HIROSAKA

Masami Hirosaka won the 1997 Worlds with a MX-4 prototype. To celebrate his victory, his father Masaaki built 50 replicas commemorating his achievement, which remains his last 4WD buggy title. The car features the bespoke front alloy bulkhead and rear delrin bulkheads unique to the MX-4 prototype, titanium CVDs, “cut+trimmed” front tires glued back together and a body painted by S. Takatani. The car offers some cool details like the front shock metal caps and plastic rear shock caps. Or a missing screw under the chassis due to the actual rear bulkhead missing a hole on all 50 cars.
The car is signed by Masami on the undertray.
