2001 WORLD PROTOTYPE P9

New addition to my collection is Prototype 9 out of 12, from Masaaki Hirosaka-san 2001 Worlds development lineage. This car has a lot of interesting test parts. Notice the blue POM/Delrin front arms and rear bulkheads. The rear section of the car is starting to resemble the final P12 racecar. The glass fibre components are very close in shape to the final carbon components too. The shocks are identical to the final big bore specifically made by Masaaki for this car and event.

Body painted by Pedro @PJDesign in Masami’s colours with a small twist using frosted sections instead of white to be more see-through and relate to the glass fibre components used for development on this car.

P9 joins P4 and the final P12 for a cosy shelf retirement.
