2025 MX-4 FOREVER TYPE R

Following Masaaki Hirosaka’s decision not to support cars with spares, and recommeding to keep them as shelf-queens, I decided to make my own racing version. So, here is the unique MX-4 Forever Type R.

I carefully sourced the same off-the-shelf parts that Masaaki used and re-designed all bespoke compoents to have them CNC machined.

The car sports a carbon forge chassis with gold flakes. All alloys are gun-metal anodised. The arms are rapid-prototyped from MLF. Modern Yokomo big bore shocks, burnt-titanium turnbuckles, modern XRAY and Schumacher ballcups. I also fitted sway bars front and rear.
The mid sliper layshaft is re-designed around a modern Schumacher sliper with a one-off steel shaft.
