2025 G-FORCE GENOVA MASAMI SPECIAL BOX

The Genova was released in 2022 to the Japanese market only. G-Force who sponsors Masami made a “Special Box” dedicated to the overseas market in 2025, including a pre-painted body to Masami’s colours, tire foam manually prepared by Masami, a low profile servo, uprated alloy shocks and a couple of Masami stickers.

Unfortunately, to be honest, the Genova remains a pretty low end, cheap plastic tub entry level 2WD car.

So, I decided to get the drawing board out and make a carbon version. Plastic tub cars are not easy to convert to carbon without going the expensive carbon tub tooling route. The Genova is also using some pathetic rear tower to chassis fixings… After trying different concepts, I converged on a carbon / PLA sandwich, and a more robust and conventional rear tower design.

The PLA can be made in any colours. I went for a translucent green that matches the scheme of the bodywork. The 3mm chassis plus top sidewall covers offer great stiffness.

The cars are serialised. I have made only 2 cars like this one. GCF-01 presented here, and GCF-02 which is going to another savvy collector of unique RC cars.

This was a really fun project! And hopefully a car more worthy of Masami 🙇.
