1999 MASSAMI HIROSAKA WORLDS RACER

This is Masami’s actual race car from the 1999 World Championship, including dirt and dust 😄. Not his most successful car, as he only finished 14th after 2 DNF in qualifying meaning he could not reach the A main.

This car occupied a somehow unusual place in the Hirosaka fantastic racing history. Masaaki felt humiliated after the event, hence why he put so much effort into the 2001 Worlds car development and then released the MX-4 Forever last year. Masaaki explained that he actually felt bad for the car. He even says he apologised to it after the event and instead of the car being recycled like every of his non-winning cars, it was actually kept and stored together with the 3 iconic 4WD world winners (89, 93, 97).

The tires are prototype Slash tires that were brought specifically for the Pro-Line sponsored drivers.

The car is close to a stock MX-4 but there are some subtle differences from Masaaki.

I am really pleased to have finally brought together again the MX-4 worlds racer, with the 2001 worlds contender and MX-4 Forever. ❤️❤️❤️.
