2001 MASSAMI HIROSAKA WORLDS RACE CAR

After failing to win the 1999 Worlds, Masaaki Hirosaka embarked in the most in-depth development project, starting from the MX-4.

The development went through 12 different prototypes, scanning many different motor positions.

This is car Prototype 12, the final car and what was meant to be Massami’s raciung car for the 2001 Worlds. Only for the event to be cancelled due to the twin tower attack.

To me, this car epitomises the culmination of Masaaki’s savoir-faire in a beautifully crafted car with so many intricate details and innovative features.
